Guys this is why you shouldn't be a Super Hero in front of your Girlfriend,... and Girls this is why your Boyfriend is not a Super Hero...

Imagine........

Captain Power: Fear not, citizen! For I am Captain Pow-
Girlfriend: Oh my GOD! You DID NOT just hit on someone in front of me!
CP: Chill babe...I'm just doing my job.
GF: Why do you want to help her anyway? Do you think she's pretty?
CP: No, of course not.
GF: Yeah, REAL convincing.
CP: Come on, don't be mad. Please, babe?
GF: You always do this, Joe. You KNOW I've been totally stressing out about not having an outfit for Saturday.

Being harsh to myself.

Have you forgotten your resolve?

Its alright, at least you remember now. :)

Its actually much easier to stick to it, rather than going on a roller coaster ride all the time.

I have to remind myself once again... and I certainly hope this would be the last time I am telling myself.

It is over, not just "The Past"... Its everything that you ever know..

In other words... You don't have to forget 'anything' because "The Past"...

They don't even exist...

Ok? Do you understand...

Are you smarter than a fifth grader!

This is a real 5th grade math problem. This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem so don't say that a bus has no legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat, there are 7 little cats.

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

Are you smarter than a fifth grader? ;)

Conversation with Zahir

Me: I'l always be your little boy, and i know how tiring it is to handle and communicate with one.

Zahir: Past experiences taught me to stop here for this topic, for good.

Me: :) nods.. past experience taught me not to argue.

-Conversation ends.

Past experiences had also taught me other things...

that we should challenge our past experiences when required.

Past Experiences. Another circular process.

My Hopeless School

Hellooo are u running a school or a business... either way you are Too off.

Please Update this page... Almost One Month already...

And your staff wonders why stundents are calling the school everyday to ask if their assignments are back.

Talk about increasing awareness of the school's brand?.. The only awareness you are going to get are BAD awarness..

Body is able but faith is weak...

Just realised how longg it has been since i did some real blogging.

I admit i was being lazy.. (after all the assignments and exams)

Indulging in animes, lazing, daydreaming, spending time with my family...

I recall the reasons for my long break in the first place.

Endless assignments, back to back exams, contradicting thoughts were the main factors.

With the first two out of the way now (for the moment), I think i'm still suffering most from contraditions.

Until then, although life still goes on well for me (thank God)... I still can't see where i'm heading to.

Maybe I need to find out where am I in the first place.

But thats another question: How?

Inspirations

Sometimes, some inspirational quotes can make me feel better..

Like this for example:

"Most of our obstacles would melt away if, instead of cowering before them, we should make up our minds to walk boldly through them."- Orison Swett Marden

Just by thinking about it, it might/ might not set me thinking in the right way, but at least it gives me a sense of direction.

U know u can "link" some of the quotes to produce a greater impact?

For example:

"Never give up, never, never give up." - Winston Churchill

Relating to the above first quote, it strengthens the determination and makes the road seem easier to follow.

Adding another impact:

"There's a very positive relationship between people's ability to accomplish any task and the time they're willing to spend on it." - Joyce Brothers

and finally to conclude and make my point:

"This one step - choosing a goal and staying to it - changes everything."- Scott Reed

A dream

I had a lucid dream..

Same place,
Same settings,
Different crowd,
Someone was alone,
Weeping desperately...
I felt the pain and sorrow and
I wanted to comfort her, but I just wouldn't do it...

and she left...

What is happening?

When was the last time i felt like this..

I've watched "The Bucket List" today with the most unlikely group of friends.. anyway, I think they all enjoyed the show and I'm sure we all learnt something meaningful from it.

The theme of the movie was friendship, love and a "bucket list" (a list of things you want to accomplish before you "kick the bucket"). Can also be called "Life goals" or "Life dreams"

I'm sure everyone have dreams (at some point of their lives), but how many people actually invested their time and effort in trying to find and accomplish them?

It is time to go looking for and creating opportunities to realise our dreams.

I should start writing my list.. maybe i will start off with this... *hee*

My Bucket List
1. To cry in joy (happy tears).
I wonder how am I gonna find this. Any ideas?

And...

Something... something...~

While the day is coming its end....

I saw someone which made me feel like this: (happy, excited, hot, dizzy)...

I feel silly and happy, really.

"我多麼羨慕你" ^^ ^^

The girl from ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, I smile - but she doesnt see (doesnt see)

Feelings and Emotions: Constructive or Destructive.

Feelings are hard to describe and put into words. They either get misinterpreted by yourself as you write/voice them out or by the person who is reading it.

Broadcasted feelings brings attention or remain hidden until someone (maybe yourself) finds and read it... As misinterpreted feelings (most common) may not be true, they either bring about unneeded/excessive attention or sets people thinking the wrong way.

Feelings if interpreted correctly are constructive in a sense they brings you to what you are looking for. However, unneeded attention or false guidance are destructive because they lead you away from them.

People make decisions based on their feelings or advice irregardless of how irrational (or rational if you believe in them) they might be. The decisions made not only affects your own life but also the people around you as well. It can bring joy (if you are lucky), as well as despair into your world (as well as other people's world).

In other words, it is a risk you take each time you try to express feelings in words.

If anyone, who wishes to live in a peaceful and well-ordered world, and do not wish to bring despair to people. Should they refrain from expressing their feelings and by doing so, will they forfeit the chance to bring joy as well.

Is it true that without joy, no one will know how it feels like to be in despair.

I believe most people would want to create and live in a the world without hurt and pain, an "ideal" world. Should we all stop expressing our feelings?

But why do people have the tendency to take the risk of expressing feelings and emotions?

Many questions i had posted, and to whoever reading this any views on them?...

Would anyone to take the risk of sharing, as I had already done so by asking.

Rum and Coke =)

Back from assignment holiday~...

Boy! I do not have a good impression of Public Relations.

Although the idea of Public Relations might not be as "fake" as i perceive it.. but i guess most people in the industry spoils it.

Anyway, my day had been quite fruitful:

1) Went to the gym.
2) Attempted to start on the next assignment *note attempted

My cutee nephew Nicholas is away on vacation with his parents in KL, and i am staying away from my own parents as i think they need some private time and space, now that they don't have a baby to attend to.

I guess i need to learn how to enjoy life on my own too. :)

Rum & Coke while listening to my favourite tunes... *(This is life)

Treasure each day..

I feel the days are getting shorter as i grow older.

I spent the morning replying an email to a person whom i have shared many memories with. The email is a "closure" to the period where I have experienced the most intense happiness as well as pain. I actually drafted it until 4am this morning and I guess it more or less reflects my feelings. I hope she will be happy after reading it through. I guess she is. =)

Later in the noon, I spent some *quality time* with my parents. *(I should do this more often)

We went to the Food and Beverage Fair 2008 at Suntec City Convention Centre. Although, the exhibition two halls wide, but it wasn't really impressive. Most of the exhibits are actually common foodstuffs we can find anywhere in Singapore. Especially in Pasar Malams.

Examples: Tako Pachi, Satay, Taiwanese snacks... borring.....

I did have an enjoyable afternoon with my parents though... I asked Dad alot of questions about his younger days. Hehe... feels funny to relive those days of being a talkative and nosy child. :P

In the evening, I went for a run. Sembawang way track is quite crowded on weekends. Really enjoyable to watch people carrying out their activities as I zip along the track.

So.... that is all i did today, and it is coming to an end soon... See how short a day can be?

Zz.... Treasure each day.. :)

Sushi Kikuzawa ~ The Leap Years ~

I had my lunch at a very authentic japanese restaurant today. The name of the shop is Sushi Kikuzawa. I strongly recommend this place to anyone if you

1) are ok with raw fish
2) appreciate sushi
3) love surprises

The chef actually prepares the sushi right in front of you and serve it straight to your plate. Once in a while, he would throw in a special of the day. I heard the Ootoro (Fatty tuna) is one of their speciality but i didn get that today. Instead i got this (Tuna Belly) sushi which costs around $24 for two. It is absolutely delicious ~^^ YummY ^^~ my friend who doesn't like the taste of wasabi didn enjoy it as much.. *Its a waste.. haizz*

We paid about $35 each for a 2 hour premium sushi buffet. Its not really cheap but its quite a good deal for the authentic japanese atomsphere. Until i find somewhere better.. I guess that will be my favourite sushi huant.

After the meal, we watched The Leap Years. I guess alot of people had already watched it, therefore i shall not repeat the story again here...

After Thoughts

It is not easy to find someone you can connect with.
However, there is no guarantee that there are no stronger connection somewhere else...

How do you know if he/she is the one that you think he/she is?

To wait or to move on is not a choice. It is all part of a bigger plan.

Who is more stubborn? (KS or Li Ann)

The most used word in love letters is "miss", not "love".
- Li Ann, The Leap Years

It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved before.
(Is it??)

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves. - William Shakespeare (But the fortune teller's prophecy made sense afterall or maybe its just Coincidence?

because

Coincidence is God's way of staying anonymous. - Anonymous (God quoted???)

Enchanting

They have angelic voices...

Enchanting~~

Resolution 13 March

Ok.. i have decided that i shall do what is right for myself.. *(or at least seems right)

such as:

1) stop thinking about what has passed and live in the present and future
2) accept things as they are now and stop hoping for miracles
3) treasure the relationships with the people in my life now...

I hope living this way should get me back on track..

I've been off for too long now..

Something happy in my life:

1) My nephew Nicholas

Ain't he a darling.. He never fails to brighten up my day. :)

2) Studying

Studying in fact can be an enjoyment. Although i'm always complaining that i hate this or that subject, especially during exam or assignments crunch time. The funny part is that after all the stress is over, the sense of achievement cannot be replaced. Its like a ship reaching the harbour after braving through a storm. - (Cheesy)

3) Bossa Nova

Discovered this genre of music during happy times... it started off as an a lullaby. Where the beautiful voices of the artists lulls me into sleep each night.

Only recently, i realised the influence of Bossa Nova has on me. That when i feel all horrible and in despair, Bossa Nova tracks actually brings down the strong emotions inside me...

Some artists to recommend:

1) Olivia Ong
2) Emi Fujita
3) Noon

There are alot more but i'm still on the way of discovering them.. Enjoying the process..~ :)

4) Running

I'm ashamed to say i gave it up once for something which i thought to be truer than it.
Running is just like my soul, and i lost myself in the pursit of happiness.

5) My Family

My family have always been there for me... They want me to be happy and to lead a meaningful, even at their own expense.. Such selfless acts.. How can i disappoint them. :)

There will be alot more.. i will add as time goes by..

Quotes to live by..

"If you are successful, it is because somewhere, sometime, someone gave you a life or an idea that started you in the right direction. Remember also that you are indebted to life until you help some less fortunate person, just as you were helped"

- Melinda French's Valedictory Speech, Ursuline Academy

Ever wondered why we never learn from our mistakes?

I thought You were different.. but I was wrong..

You are just the same..

It is late to realise that now... but better late than never..

Maybe... maybe it is better to never?

Tabula rasa: The beginning

Tabula rasa (Latin: blank state) refers to the epistemological thesis that individual human beings are born with no innate or built-in mental content, in a word, "blank", and that their entire resource of knowledge is built up gradually from their experiences and sensory perceptions of the outside world.

It means each person started off as a white sheet and as each day of our lives progresses, we learn through our experiences.

This blog will hold experiences which i had interpreted for myself as well as some "random issues". Things which i find interesting, things which i find worthy of sharing.
